Re: Reasonable accommodation for an emotional support animal
I am a mental health professional licensed in the State of New Jersey. I have completed a clinical evaluation of my client by video.
In my professional judgment, my client's emotional support animal alleviates symptoms of a condition that limits a major life activity. I support their request to keep the animal in their home, consistent with the Fair Housing Act.
Sincerely,
Jordan R. Ellis
The letter carries your therapist's name, license number and state.
- You talk with a licensed mental health professional in your state, such as a clinical social worker or a counselor, never a quiz or a bot.
- Your landlord can look the license up on the state board's website in about a minute.
- It is dated and signed by your therapist, and it comes to you by email.
